April 10, 2004, Anaheim, CA -- In a recent letter to Dr. Calilung, Dr. Carol Gomez Summerhays, DDS and Chairman of the Scientific Sessions Board of Managers had this to say:

"On behalf of the California Dental Association and the Scientific Sessions Board of Managers, thank you for agreeing to participate in our scientific session as a host to one of our featured speakers. Hosts play an extremely important role in the success of our meetings and the overall impression of production to visiting Clinicians and guests. Often, you are the first person your assigned speaker(s) will meet face to face. Your interaction with each speaker is a reflection of the California Dental Association, Scientific Sessions Board of Managers and this Scientific Session. You were invited to be a host because you are a well-known and respected member of this association, and we are confident you will go above and beyond to make each clinician feel welcome."

This year, the California Dental Association (CDA) event will take place in the Anaheim Convention Center from April 15 through April 18th. Information is available at the CDA Web Site. Being a host for this event will require additional time and effort, and Dr. Calilung had this to say about that activity:

"I have always tried to find ways to give back not only to our community, but to our profession as well. I am honored to be a host to a feature speaker at this very important CDA event."
